Pancharangi :: Kannada Movie Pancharangi Review

Pancharangi :: Kannada Movie Pancharangi Review
A twisted tale, the story begins with Bharathkumar (diganth) who works in a saree shop and makes his living for his education. His elder brother Lucky (pawan) returns from abroad to marry a girl. Both along with their parents (padmaja rao and sunder raj), their maternal uncle and the marriage broker go to the house of Latha (ramya) and Ambica (nidhi). The story takes a turn when Ambika poses as Latha with Bharathkumar and due to this, both of them are sent away from home. Meanwhile, Latha already develops feelings for Lucky. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a rather confusing tale and though the presentation was good, the narrative was bad. The dialogues were average, the script was mediocre and the screenplay was random. Background score was good and songs were lovely. Cinematography was exceptional as well. Editing was terrible. Costumes were trendy and the art department was apt. Diganth was good in his end and carried out his role with élan. Nidhi Subbaiah was stunningly hot and she is a visual feast to the audience, Ramya was alright, Pawan Kumar was alright, Shinu was okay, Raju was regular, Padmaja Rao and Sunderraj were decent, Nagaraj Urs was natural and Sudhakar was simple.

The film has got an interesting thought but then it is due to the poor editing and failure to extract performances at the right scenes which played a spoilsport. While the first half was alright and went smoothly, things got a bit jarry during the second half and tested the patience of the audience. The film survives primarily due to its good technical aspects but apart from that, there is not much to appeal the viewers. At the box office, this might just turn out to be an average or a below average grosser.
