British actor Andrew Garfield will be the star of the next film based on web-slinging superhero "Spider-Man," it was announced.
British Actor Andrew Garfield has been selected over other big names to play the role of a superhero. The selection of 26 year old actor came as a surprise to all.
The shooting of the new Spiderman will commence from December 2010.
Andrew has reportedly bagged the lead role bypassing other British actors such Kick-Ass star Aaron Johnson and Jamie Bell.
According to one of the producers on the Spider-Man franchise, Avi Arad, "We believe he is the perfect choice for the role to lead us into the future."The newest Spiderman flick starring Andrew Garfield is slated to hit the theaters by 2012. (With Inputs from Agencies)
